I don't understand the hype around "Avatar" . I am so surprised to see how people keep talking about it like it’s some kind of special movie. Although the graphics are nice, but there is nothing special about the story. Well, different strokes for different folks.

Agreed mate, I’m not big on that movie either. i prefer the types of movies that make you jump out your pants lol Kind of like horrors but without the gore, more mind bending that gore i guess

One such movie for me is Dune. I remember when it first came out, there was so much hype about it, but when I tried watching the first part, I found it extremely boring. I might give it another go, though.

I have never understood the hype around Die Hard if I am honest. Everyone seems to really enjoy the movie, but I could never get into it enough to watch it and enjoy it.

I am in the same boat as you; I never understood the hype around Avatar either, but so many seem to love the movie.

The graphics were great but the story was bad. I think the hype was for the visuals and if you remove the 3D, it's nothing.

As for The Lord of the Rings—any of the films—it’s not that I hate them, far from it; it’s just that I find them extremely boring. I find it impossible to watch any of them, as I always end up falling asleep.

You must be right, the movie is very interesting, but sometimes it’s boring watching it to the end, so I don’t really like the movie, but my younger sister watch it every weekends.

@shadowbyte That’s a bit surprising to me, but I understand your point, those films are too long and slow. If you are not into fantasy and long movies, you will be tired of it truly.

The New Spider-Man movie. So he died and went back to the past? Nope. Kills the desire to watch in me.
